Andy Samberg has stunned fans by revealing he’s leaving hit US comedy show Saturday Night Live. The funnyman, who is the brains behind the weekly show’s star-filled digital short movies, has confirmed reports suggesting he’ll be following Kristen Wiig, whose final SNL appearance came during last month’s season finale. ‘‘It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life. Obviously, it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back . . . (It was) one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,’’ Samberg (pictured) tells the New York Times. Samberg spent seven seasons on the show and is perhaps best remembered for his comedy video with Justin Timberlake. Saturdays, 10.30pm, The Comedy Channel.
