Gold Coast In­die Film & Tele­vi­sion Net­work will go be­hind the scenes of Chan­nel Nine News next week for an ex­clu­sive look at how tele­vi­sion news works. The monthly event will fea­ture guest panel­list Bruce Paige, who re­cently took over news­read­ing for Nine Gold Coast News. Paige, who has worked for the Nine Net­work since the 1980s, will be joined by highly ex­pe­ri­enced cam­era­man Mark Han­ra­han and Gold Coast-based Nine News jour­nal­ist Chris O’Keefe. Tal­ented singer and song­writer McKen­zie Comer, 15, who rose to fame via so­cial me­dia, cre­at­ing a loyal fol­low­ing with al­most a mil­lion YouTube views, will also per­form. Comer, who has al­ready toured the US, playing shows in LA, Nashville and New York, will per­form one her of orig­i­nal songs and screen the video for her track You Do That To Me.

The Gold Coast In­die Film & Tele­vi­sion Net­work plays The Base­ment, at The Arts Cen­tre Gold Coast, on Wed­nes­day from 6.30pm. Tick­ets are $15 adults and $10 stu­dents.
