Dylan rolls on with new album
folk rock legend Bob Dylan is releasing the 35th studio album in his 50-year recording career. Columbia Records announced that Tempest – produced by Jack Frost, an alias Dylan has used in the past – will feature 10 new and original Dylan songs. Its release in the US on September 11 coincides with the 50th anniversary of Dylan’s eponymous debut album, also on Columbia Records. The album will include the track Roll on John, which features lyrics from multiple Beatles songs, including A Day in the Life and Come Together. The 71-year-old’s most recent album was Together Through Life in 2009. The album will be released in Australia on September 7.
