Eran performs songs from heart

The Gold Coast Bulletin - Play Magazine - - LIVE ’N’ LOUD -

years ago singer-songwriter Eran James (pictured) found an unlikely fan in Sir Elton John. Sir Elton heard Eran James sing and put him on the road as his support act before asking James back to London to meet and work with the best creative minds in the business. The young singer – then only 12, was taken on by the world’s biggest record company. By the time he was 16, James was in New York working with the city’s best writers, arrangers and musicians. A polished performer with a great passion, a magnificent voice and years on the road behind him, James, now 23, has a captivating sound matched with impressive songs. ‘‘I want to play and write and sing songs that come from my life, my heart and my experiences and which will touch the lives of others. Maybe to heal, maybe to provoke a reaction,’’ says James. James has returned to Australia with 40 songs about life, love and death under his belt and a passion for moving people with songs. ‘‘Elton has been a huge help to me. He gave me confidence in my own songs,’’ he said.

Eran James, Kristy Apps, Alexis Nicole and Kerryn Fields play The Loft, Chevron Island, on Saturday.
