A Leg­end of mu­sic hits the small screen

Un­der the deal, Leg­end and his Get Lifted Film Co, which part­ners him with Mike Jack­son and Ty Stik­lo­rius, will work along­side UCP man­agers to de­velop se­ries for ca­ble and broad­cast net­works. The pact marks Leg­end’s first step into the TV se­ries arena. He broke out as a record­ing artist with his 2004 de­but All three of his al­bums have made the top five of the Bill­board 200 and topped the R&B chart. His most re­cent disc, 2008’s peaked at No.4 and went gold. He also has col­lab­o­rated on songs by dozens of acts in­clud­ing Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. Leg­end im­pressed as a head­line act at By­ron Bluesfest two years ago. He ap­pears in US tal­ent show Duets and joins a UCP ros­ter that in­clude The Walk­ing Dead ex­ec­u­tive pro­ducer Gale Anne Hurd’s Val­halla En­ter­tain­ment; Hyp­notic, which pro­duces Covert Af­fairs and Suits; and Tagline, the com­pany be­hind Psych.
