family dramas aside, Kenny Wizz (pictured) is determined to give Australian audiences a thriller night. The former street performer turned world No. 1 Michael Jackson impersonator returns to the Gold Coast tomorrow night with his tribute show, Michael Jackson HIStory II. Wizz has been performing as the King of Pop for 28 years but never tires of putting on the famous singer’s mask. ‘‘It’s always fresh and new for me,’’ he says. ‘‘Doing the tour – that’s what’s good – because you go to different places. I can’t believe it’s been that long, it seems like yesterday when I started.’’ While Wizz never met MJ, in 1995 he got the biggest accolade from the singer’s mother Katherine Jackson, who saw him in Las Vegas. ‘‘That was a boost for me, for her to tell me I was doing a good job and to keep up the good work.’’

plays Twin Towns tomorrow and Saturday at 8.30pm. Tickets are $51.
