Campbell (pictured) has loaded up her van with surfboards and guitars and arrived on the Coast to celebrate the release of her debut album, Real Life. The American-Australian songstress has been on the road since June, as part of a national tour. Fusing acoustic-pop with surf-rock, folk and reggae, Campbell says the ocean influences her music. ‘‘I moved to Australia about 10 years ago and I started playing the guitar and surfing about the same time,’’ she says. ‘‘Ever since, they have gone hand-inhand. Music is always influenced by the lifestyle you live.’’ She says Real Life has been well received. ‘‘It’s a crafty collection of 11 acoustic guitar and ukulele driven tracks,’’ she says. Campbell is excited to be back on the Coast. ‘‘My biggest fanbase is here. I look forward to playing and seeing some familiar faces,’’ she says.
