Six and out for Jersey Shore as the tears flow
and his Jersey Shore cast members ‘‘teared up’’ when they learnt their show had been cancelled. MTV News has announced it will end the hit reality show after the sixth season, which debuts in Australia and the US next month. ‘‘Everybody teared up, production teared up, we teared up, we couldn’t believe it, I can’t picture not going back to Seaside for the summertime,’’ Pauly D (pictured right) says. ‘‘I feel like it’s home.’’ Pauly D can’t wait to see what fans think of the final season. ‘‘I’m excited. It was probably one of my favourite seasons to film,’’ he says. The first episode airs in Australia on October 24. In other Jersey Shore news, star Nicole ‘‘Snooki’’ Polizzi (also pictured) has given birth to her first child, a boy. The reality-TV star and her fiance, Jionni LaValle, welcomed 2.86 kg Lorenzo Dominic LaValle into the world just a few weekends ago. MTV has congratulated Polizzi and her fiance and looked toward the newborn’s possible appearance on Jersey Shore. ‘‘We couldn’t be happier for Nicole and Jionni on the healthy delivery of their baby boy,’’ MTV said in a statement. MTV has said Snooki, 24, will be part of the action in the new season, but has declined to offer specifics on how big a part she will play in the show about hard-partying Italian-American friends.
