Metcalfe likes to release his inner cowboy
JESSE Metcalfe (pictured) is thankful that the Dallas reboot doesn’t include shoulder pads. The actor portrays Christopher Ewing in the new series of the original 1980s TV show and says he’s glad the on-screen outfits aren’t as garish as they were on the old series. ‘‘The show’s not taking place in the ’80s anymore, so thankfully the shoulder pads are out. The cool things about Dallas is you get to dress up and be part of a mega-rich family, but we’re all on a ranch, so there’s lots of cowboy hats, denim and cool boots,’’ he tells British magazine Heat. ‘‘I’ve got four. (Cowboy hats). I don’t have to wear mine as much as John Ross – he’s pretty much consistently clad in a Stetson. But I do get to rock the occasional cowboy hat when I’m on horseback.’’
Dallas: Wednesdays, 9.30pm, Nine, NBN.
