Kids will love the sheep shearing, duck herding, sniffer dogs, flyball and the fabulous dock-diving dogs who compete in jumping for distance or height from a dock into a body of water.

There are always interesting products to see and try such as food, healthcare, treats, the latest pet fashions, therapy, pet-sitting services and pet party needs.

Always a crowd pleaser is Dr Katrina Warren and the Wonderdogs, who have an impressive repertoire of tricks.

This includes talking on command, spelling and counting, and some even clean up after themselves.

She’ll also be on hand to answer training questions and pose for photographs.

Olivia and Jake from the All about Animals TV show will be there with their film crew.

A new addition to the expo is animal medium Amanda De Warren, who believes she has a special talent that can help connect you with loved ones and your pets, both living and passed over.

On Sunday it’s party time at 12.30pm with a fun-filled, half hour packed with games, giveaways, cakes, party favours and lots of laughs.

To help celebrate, Party Kings is giving away two party packages valued at more than $800 each.

The Gold Coast City Council event does have a serious side to educate children on how to pat and play safely with their pets and encourage responsible pet ownership.
