sixth in­stal­ment in Chan­nel 9’s Un­der­belly crime fran­chise re­vis­its the ex­ploits of celebrity gang­ster Joseph Theodore Les­lie Tay­lor. Ris­ing star Jared Daperis (pic­tured) plays Tay­lor in a new ad­ven­ture Squizzy, film­ing in Mel­bourne, set be­tween 1915 and 1927. Daperis, 21, is best known for his role as Lit­tle Joe Cartwright in the US se­ries Pon­derosa, the pre­quel to the hit TV western Bo­nanza. He played the Artful Dodger in Mel­bourne and Sin­ga­pore sea­sons of Cameron Mack­in­tosh’s Oliver! and ap­peared in pay TV hit Small Time Gang­ster, work­ing along­side Gary Sweet. He played the Ital­ian jockey Frankie Det­tori in The Cup, based on the 2002 Mel­bourne Cup. Daperis joins a cast which in­cludes Susie Porter, Luke Ford, Dan Wyl­lie, Nathan Page, Richard Cawthorne, Ash­ley Zuk­er­man, Matt Boe­sen­berg, Diana Glenn, Ken Radley, An­drew Ryan, Fletcher Humphrys and Peter Moon. Camille Keenan, Elise Jansen and Gra­cie Gil­bert play the women who loved Tay­lor. Com­ing in 2013, Nine, NBN.
