Hollywood reworks ABC series
Australian audiences call for US TV series to be fast-tracked, American executives are looking at reworking the best of our homegrown efforts for their markets. Two ABC series are getting the Hollywood treatment. Greg Kinnear takes on the Richard Roxburgh’s role in legal drama Rake and NBC is in talks to produce its own version of The Slap, reworked for US audiences by Jon Robin Baitz, creator of Brothers & Sisters. The original ABC series, based on the bestselling novel by Christos Tsiolkas, starred Jonathan LaPaglia and Melissa George (pictured).
