Hands off Bon Jovi’s Jersey

The Gold Coast Bulletin - Play Magazine - - PLAY/ THURSDAY EXTRA -

Jon Bon Jovi (pictured) has accused the producers of US reality TV show Jersey Shore of misrepresenting his home state. The Bon Jovi frontman from New Jersey is no fan of the fly-on-the-wall show, which films locals boozing in the streets and causing fights. ‘‘It’s not my Jersey shore,’’ Bon Jovi says. ‘‘I was there way before they were. We used to go down to the boardwalk all the time when we were kids. That was a cool place. People from New Jersey know that’s not what it’s like. I more resent that those shows create celebrities, that’s bad . . . it’s really sad.’’
