The Gold Coast Bulletin - Play Magazine - - PLAY/ FRIDAY EXTRA -

ANEW family is moving into Ramsay Street but plenty of familiar faces are still in the neighbourhood. Channel 10 has announced the 2013 cast of Neighbours, which will return for its 28th year on television.

Favourite biker babe Steph Scully (Carla Bonner) and Sarah Beaumont (Nicola Charles) both return, along with Detective Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), who turns up alive, much to everyone’s surprise, as he was thought to be dead.

The daughter of Lou Carpenter, Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall) will move back to her childhood home along with her husband, Erinsborough’s new police sergeant Matt Turner (Josef Brown) and their teen children Mason (Taylor Glockner), Amber (Jenna Rosenow) and Bailey (Calen MacKenzie).

Kendall says it’s exciting to be joining Australia’s longest running drama.

‘‘To be playing a character such as Lauren Turner, who is deeply embedded in the storyline and who of course is Lou Carpenter’s daughter is such a wonderful opportunity.’’
