Lauded Dr Who scriptwriter back

Neil Gaiman, who won a Hugo Award for his last Doc­tor Who episode, 2011’s The Doc­tor’s Wife, will script an episode for the cur­rent se­ries. Ex­ec­u­tive pro­ducer Steven Mof­fat con­firms Gaiman will script the episode that fea­tures the re­turn of the Cy­ber­men (pic­tured). The cy­borgs have been en­e­mies of the Time Lord since 1966. They last ap­peared in 2011’s Clos­ing Time. The episode will also co-star Life’s Too Short’s War­wick Davis, EastEn­ders’ Tamzin Outh­waite and Be­ing Hu­man’s Ja­son Watkins. Stephen Woolfenden, a di­rec­tor from the Harry Pot­ter films, will di­rect.
