Bonner shares his success
STAGE, screen and TV favourite Tony Bonner will share stories from his 40-year career with audiences at the final Gold Coast Indie Film and TV Network event for the year. Bonner has appeared on screen in everything from The Anzacs, The Man From Snowy River and The Lighthorsemen to Home and Away and Neighbours, but remains best-known for his role as hunky chopper pilot Jerry King in iconic Aussie TV series Skippy the Bush Kangaroo. Bonner’s resume since then also boasts an impressive range of stage credits including productions of Love Letters, Only When I Laugh, The Sentimental Bloke, The Cellophane Ceiling and The Three Musketeers. He has now turned his attention to directing and teaching. The event will also feature writer and producer Tony Bellino and a screening of short film The Token.
The Gold Coast Indie Film and TV Network plays The Basement, at The Arts Centre Gold Coast, on Wednesday.
