Kekovich (pic­tured) joins pay TV’s The Com­edy Chan­nel to host a new TV se­ries Off Their Rock­ers which pits a gang of el­derly pranksters against young vic­tims. Kekovich hosts the eight-part se­ries with his trade­mark, no-non­sense com­edy cross­ing the di­vide be­tween the au­di­ence and the out­ra­geous oldies who go where oth­ers fear to tread. ‘‘We all need a good laugh and that’s ex­actly what you get with Off Their Rock­ers,’’ he says. ‘‘There isn’t a cook­ing uten­sil in sight which makes for a fresh change on tele­vi­sion.’’ Kekovich is a for­mer AFL player who fol­lowed a long and suc­cess­ful sports ca­reer with North Mel­bourne and Colling­wood, into the me­dia sec­tor. He is a ra­dio pre­sen­ter on Mel­bourne Sports Ra­dio Sta­tion and hosts the Aus­tralian edition of ESPN’s Par­don the In­ter­rup­tion (PTI Aus­tralia). Kekovich has ap­peared in many tele­vi­sion com­mer­cials. Off Their Rock­ers is based on a hugely suc­cess­ful Euro­pean for­mat. The US ver­sion was hosted by Betty White.
