Dallas revamp filming resumes after halt to honour veteran star
on the Dallas TV revamp has resumed four days after the death of actor Larry Hagman (pictured). The veteran star, who portrayed oil tycoon J.R. Ewing, had been working with the cast and crew on the second season of the updated show when he passed away following a battle with cancer. Filming halted to mark Hagman’s death. The show’s writing team will alter the planned storyline. Viewers saw Hagman’s character vowing to launch a titanic battle for control of the family’s business empire at the close of the debut season. Hagman features in at least the first five episodes of season two. He will be remembered at two private memorial services in Texas and in California this week. The actor’s family will hold the ceremonies for friends and relatives before his body is cremated. His son Preston plans to spread his dad’s ashes all over the world, as per his late father’s wishes, ETonline.com reports.
