Drama deals with death in custody
Blair (pictured) plays a police officer forced to deal with the controversial death of a young Aboriginal man in custody in tonight’s edition of Australian drama series Redfern Now. Luke Ford plays the young troublemaker who dies in a jail cell on the same day he taunts the officer. When the boy’s mother, Aunty Mona (Trisha MortonThomas), asks whether her boy suffered, the officer tells her no. But when the family is shown the cell surveillance tapes, he has to find the courage to tell the truth.
