New thrills and spills at the theme parks

XC­IT­ING new at­trac­tions and rides will open at all the ma­jor theme parks th­ese school hol­i­days.

The world’s first Jus­tice League 3D – The Ride is now open at Movie World.

The Con­stric­tor sends guests on a wild 30km/h ride at Wet’n’Wild. Seal Har­bour will open this De­cem­ber at Sea World.

Vil­lage Road­show Theme Parks chief mar­ket­ing of­fi­cer Dale Strat­ford said $15 mil­lion had re­cently been in­vested to en­sure guests had a theme park ex­pe­ri­ence they’d never for­get.

The Jus­tice League 3D ride is a mix of state-of- the-art an­i­ma­tron­ics and 3D tech­nol­ogy where Su­per Heroes use 3D laser blasters against evil vil­lain, Starro the Con­queror and his alien spores.

“Wet’n’Wild has un­leashed new heights of water slide fun with the launch of the mother of all water slides, the Con­stric­tor, with the tight­est and high­est bank­ing turns in the world,’’ Mr Strat­ford said.

“Sea World is fi­nal­is­ing the new at­trac­tion Seal Har­bour where guests can get up close and per­sonal with th­ese play­ful an­i­mals.”

Mean­while Dream­world and White­Wa­ter World have a host of new at­trac­tions in­clud­ing the lat­est precinct from Dream­Works An­i­ma­tion, Kung Fu Panda: Land of Awe­some­ness fea­tur­ing a Big 8 Thrill Ride, Pan­da­mo­nium.

The pop­u­lar Wig­gles World has a Big Red Boat Ride and the Big Brother House is now open to guests.

Sum­mer nights are bound to swel­ter this Jan­uary, so grab the swim­mers and head to Night White­Wa­ter World ev­ery Fri­day night in Jan­uary.

Start­ing at 6.30pm the park, loved so much dur­ing the day, of­fers a whole new ex­pe­ri­ence at night.

Imag­ine plung­ing down The Wedgie, drop­ping into the Green Room in the dark or chillax­ing in the Cave of Waves as you star gaze.

Night White­Wa­ter World events will be held on Jan­uary 4, 11, 18 and 25 and tick­ets are $25, or $20 each for a group of four.

Par­adise Coun­try is the home of the ul­ti­mate Aus­traliana farm ex­pe­ri­ence.

Kids can see din­goes and a new stock horse show at the pop­u­lar Aussie Farm­yard.

This al­lows them to get up close and per­sonal to baby an­i­mals such as lambs, chick­ens, calves and piglets.
