Stone Roses put on extra show
for The Stone Roses extra headline show in Brisbane go on sale today. Already touring Australia in March with The Prodigy as part of the Future Music Festival, the original line-up of Ian Brown (pictured), John Squire, Mani and Reni have added a show at The Riverstage, in Brisbane, on March 1. The Stone Roses last performed in Australia in 1995 shortly before they split up with the sole legacy of their two classic albums, 1989’s self-titled debut and The Second Coming in 1994. They reformed to great fanfare in October 2011 and played a handful of well-received European festivals, including a sold-out threenight stand at Manchester’s Heaton Park in June. Highlights on the reunion tour have included fan favourites Fools Gold, Elephant Stone, Love Spreads and set-closer I Am The Resurrection. Tickets are $95.
The Stone Roses play Riverstage, Brisbane, March 1 and Future Music Festival, Doomben Racecourse, March 2.
