Norm to cheer up the Breakfast bar
Cheers star George Wendt (left) is heading to the other side of the bar – he’ll play a bartender when Breakfast at Tiffany’s hits Broadway in March. The play, a return to the story by Truman Capote, will star Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones as Holly Golightly in the role Audrey Hepburn made famous in the 1961 movie. Wendt, former Cheers dude-atthe-bar Norm Peterson, will play a bartender who knows both Golightly and a young smitten writer. He was last on Broadway in a musical made from the Will Ferrell film Elf and was in the Tony Award-winning Art.
