party starters Sneaky Sound System (pictured) and The Potbelleez play a special live show at the Gold Coast Turf Club on Saturday. The electronic acts top the bill for the post-race concert, a test run for what club bosses hope will be the beginning of a long association with some of the nation’s leading bands. Turf club chairman Brett Cook says the concert is part of the club’s plan to become an entertainment mecca and to attract a younger crowd. In demand around the world for their high-energy live show, Sneaky Sound System – Caonnie Mitchell and Angus McDonald – are best known for the party anthems UFO, I Love It and From Here to Anywhere.

Sneaky Sound System and The Potbelleez play the Gold Coast Turf Club on Saturday, with racing from 2pm-6.30pm, followed by the concert. Tickets are $20. Visit gctc.com.au for details.
