Seven serves up a viewing ace with the summer of tennis in full swing
serves up more live summer tennis than ever, culminating in the first Grand Slam of 2013, the Australian Open from Melbourne Park. For the first time, the key events in the lead-up to the Australian Open – the Brisbane International, APIA International and AAMI Kooyong Classic will all be broadcast live on multichannel 7TWO. Four new faces join Seven’s broadcast team for the Open this year including new host and Sunrise sport presenter Mark Beretta and former Olympic champion Giaan Rooney, reporting on the action out and about at Melbourne Park. The team will be led once again by the incomparable Bruce McAvaney, and former world No. 1 and four-time Grand Slam winner Jim Courier as well as Australian tennis legends Lleyton Hewitt and John Newcombe. Others who will appear during the event coverage include Todd Woodbridge, Henri Leconte, Hamish McLachlan, Roger Rasheed, Sam Smith, Rennae Stubbs, John Fitzgerald, Basil Zempilas and Sandy Roberts. New additions to the format this year will include sports reporter Nathan Templeton and Coxy’s Big Break and spring racing presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs.
