Anu sails into Bris­bane cast

Anu joins the cast of South Pa­cific for the Bris­bane sea­son of the hit mu­si­cal af­ter Kate Ce­ber­ano left the show fol­low­ing its run in Mel­bourne. The My Is­land Home singer plays the role of Bloody Mary (pic­tured), a Poly­ne­sian woman who makes her liv­ing sell­ing items to mil­i­tary per­son­nel posted on the is­land. Gy­ton Grant­ley, who shot to fame as gang­ster Carl Wil­liams in the first se­ries of TV’s Un­der­belly, has also joined the cast. He plays US ser­vice­man Luther Bil­lis for what marks his de­but singing be­fore an au­di­ence. ‘‘You get a lot from an au­di­ence. You dis­cover where the laughs are and you get a bet­ter feel­ing for a show,’’ he says.
