Disgraced Armstrong spills beans on Oprah
will get to watch Oprah Winfrey grill disgraced US cyclist Lance Armstrong (pictured) about doping allegations at the same time it is being screened in the US. Pay-TV’s Discovery Channel will simulcast the 90-minute interview in Australia on Friday at noon. Winfrey recorded the interview with Armstrong, who has been stripped of seven Tour de France titles, yesterday. Reports suggest Armstrong has confessed to accusations of cheating and using performance-enhancing drugs throughout his career. The interview was conducted at the cyclist’s Austin, Texas home. It is Armstrong’s first interview since he was stripped of his titles and lost endorsement deals. The sportsman was given a lifetime ban from competing professionally. The interview is simultaneously broadcast across all six Discovery Networks channels.
