Sabotage, mind games draw Taft to The Mole

The Gold Coast Bulletin - Play Magazine - - TELEVISION -

Pyramid host Shura Taft is making the jump from children’s television to prime time as the new host of Channel 7’s challenge series The Mole. Taft (pictured), who hosted the AFL’s Supercoach Show on Fox Footy, says he is a big fan. ‘‘The fact that one of the contestants is actually trying to sabotage what the others are trying to achieve is fantastic intrigue,’’ he says. ‘‘The mind games are the best part of the game. I’m an absolute Mole nerd.’’ The reality TV show involves a group of contestants collaborating to perform challenges that earn money, while one – the Mole – works from within to try and make the group fail. ‘‘As a host you want to not only love what you do but also love the show you’re hosting,’’ says Taft. ‘‘To be given the opportunity by Seven to be a part of The Mole is unbelievable.’’ Seven will begin production on The Mole this month.

Coming soon: Seven, Prime7.
