THE

past year has been quite a ride for the Australian band Icehouse. The band sold stacks of albums and reignited the passion in their fans and also connected to a whole new generation. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the

album and the 25th anniversary of album, the band has been on the road playing songs from the two albums. After sellout shows last year, the musos were invited back to play intimate encore shows in club venues that include Twin Towns. ‘‘We’ve been overwhelmed by the response around the country,’’ says Icehouse frontman Iva Davies (pictured). ‘‘The first show of the tour in Perth at the end of last year was a blast and the audience members were wildly responsive. This has been followed by wonderful crowds everywhere we’ve been to date so the band and I enjoyed it incredibly.’’
