Bon­nie and Clyde on screen again

Emile Hirsch (pic­tured) is set to tackle the role made fa­mous by War­ren Beatty in a new TV minis­eries about no­to­ri­ous bankrob­bing cou­ple Bon­nie and Clyde. Hirsch ( Into the Wild) plays charis­matic Clyde Bar­row op­po­site The Borgias ac­tress Hol­l­i­day Grainger, who re­places Mi­ley Cyrus as Bon­nie Parker in the project. Wil­liam Hurt plays a Texas Ranger who hunts down the pair, while his Broad­cast News co-star Holly Hunter plays Parker’s mother Emma. Os­cars pro­duc­ers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are the brains be­hind the four-parter, which will air on Amer­ica’s Life­time and His­tory net­works. Faye Du­n­away played Beatty’s lead­ing lady in the Os­car-nom­i­nated Bon­nie and Clyde film in 1967.
