Bonnie and Clyde on screen again
Emile Hirsch (pictured) is set to tackle the role made famous by Warren Beatty in a new TV miniseries about notorious bankrobbing couple Bonnie and Clyde. Hirsch ( Into the Wild) plays charismatic Clyde Barrow opposite The Borgias actress Holliday Grainger, who replaces Miley Cyrus as Bonnie Parker in the project. William Hurt plays a Texas Ranger who hunts down the pair, while his Broadcast News co-star Holly Hunter plays Parker’s mother Emma. Oscars producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are the brains behind the four-parter, which will air on America’s Lifetime and History networks. Faye Dunaway played Beatty’s leading lady in the Oscar-nominated Bonnie and Clyde film in 1967.
