Anderson, Taylor team up in US spy thriller
what would be her first regular US series role since The X-Files, Gillian Anderson (pictured, left) has been cast in a role in the studio’s NBC drama pilot from writer-executive producer Rand Ravich. She is joined in the untitled project by Australian Rachael Taylor ( 666 Park Avenue, right). Described as an emotionally charged action thriller, the new series is set in and around the world of Washington DC. The pilot follows an idealistic Secret Service agent who finds himself at the epicentre of an international crisis on his first day on the job as the President’s son’s protection when the son, along with several of his classmates, are kidnapped. Taylor will play FBI agent Susie Dunn, who is responsible for getting information from the children’s parents and whose biological daughter Amber is among the kidnapped. Anderson will play Susie’s sister Meg, who has been raising Amber as her own.
