GOLD Coast Little Theatre’s next Drinks with the Director event – for its upcoming season of Macbeth – plays the company’s Southport theatre on Tuesday from 6pm. The evening features a short presentation by Lumsden who will then introduce his cast. Lumsden will also helm Soapbox Theatre Production’s season of jet-black comedy Mr Kolpert later in the year.

GIVEN the popularity of the inaugural staging of The Greenroom Project in The Basement at The Arts Centre Gold Coast last month, plenty of people are wondering how host Matt Ward will top it on April 15. Watch this space for details of his next round of guests.

CAST and crew in Beaudesert are in the final days of preparation before the curtain rises on their season of comedy mystery thriller Any Number Can Die, as hilarious spoof of the popular mystery plays of the 1920s. Director Joan StalkerBrown (this is the fourth production she has helmed for BAMS Theatre), says audiences can expect plenty of thrills and laughter courtesy of a sharp and witty script by US playwright Fred Carmichael. Any Number Can Die plays The Centre from April 12-27. Visit liveatthecentre.com.au to book.
