GOLD Coast Little Theatre’s next Drinks with the Director event – for its upcoming season of Macbeth – plays the company’s Southport theatre on Tuesday from 6pm. The evening will give those interested a sneak peek at what director Stuart Lumsden has in store for audiences when Macbeth opens on April 20. The evening features a short presentation by Lumsden who will then introduce his cast. Lumsden will also helm Soapbox Theatre Production’s season of jet-black comedy Mr Kolpert later in the year.

THE Tweed Links Music Club Concert plays Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club on Sunday at 1pm (Qld time). The afternoon of entertainment, in the main auditorium, will feature the Tweed Links Quartet and Dancers, compere Bob Green and guests vocalist Lachlan Wallace, with organist Norma Horlock, vocalist/dancer Shirley King and young classical pianist Tommaso Lo Giudice. CAST and crew in Beaudesert are in the final days of preparation before the curtain rises on their season of comedy mystery thriller Any Number Can Die, as hilarious spoof of the popular mystery plays of the 1920s.
