‘Lucy’ off to test Hol­ly­wood

McGa­han, who was in Un­der­belly: Ra­zor and Miss Fisher’s Mur­der Mys­ter­ies, House Hus­bands will al­ways have sig­nif­i­cance in her fledg­ling ca­reer.

‘‘I have never gone back for a sec­ond sea­son of a show be­fore now,’’ she says. McGa­han plays Lucy, Gary Sweet’s on­screen daugh­ter, in the fam­ily drama.

She looks for­ward to de­vel­op­ing, rather than es­tab­lish­ing, a char­ac­ter. House Hus­bands

‘‘You are pick­ing up the char­ac­ter again but on a dif­fer­ent jour­ney. ‘‘The au­di­ence knows the char­ac­ter now so you can get into the nar­ra­tive so much quicker . . . you have to fig­ure out how to de­velop and how to make the char­ac­ter grow.’’
