THE Hoodoo Gu­rus have talked Dave Graney (pic­tured) and Clare Moore into get­ting The Mood­ists back to­gether for Dig It Up. The Mood­ists were one of Aus­tralia’s most revered post-punk out­fits be­tween 1980 and 1987. The Mood­ists 2013 will fea­ture Graney and Moore and orig­i­nal mem­ber Steve Miller with Mick Turner and Chris Walsh. Turner is now a mem­ber of The Dirty Three. The Mood­ists per­form at the Mel­bourne Dig It Up joined by Ron S. Peno & The Su­per­sti­tions, Su­per Wild Horses, The Straight Ar­rows, Bored Noth­ing and Chris Rus­sell’s Chicken Walk. The Syd­ney line-up features Lime Spi­ders, The Cru­saders, Su­per Wild Horses, The Lau­rels, Mother & Son and Bloods. The Aus­tralian acts join in­ter­na­tion­als Blue Oys­ter Cult, Flamin’ Groovies, Buz­zcocks and Peter Case of The Nerves and The Stems.

Dig It Up plays Twin Towns on April 19.
