Tan­gle keeps the flag fly­ing

AUS­TRALIAN drama Tan­gle is the only lo­cal fi­nal­ist in the Most Out­stand­ing Drama cat­e­gory in sub­scrip­tion TV in­dus­try’s an­nual AS­TRA awards.

In all, more than 50 fi­nal­ists were an­nounced in 15 in­dus­try-voted cat­e­gories on Mon­day for the 11th an­nual awards.

But it was Tan­gle that scored a swag of nom­i­na­tions. The se­ries, which stars Kat Ste­wart, Cather­ine McCle­ments and Jus­tine Clarke, is up against Drip­ping in Choco­late, The Walk­ing Dead and Jus­ti­fied for Most Out­stand­ing Drama on Fox­tel.

Mean­while Tan­gle stars Dan Wyl­lie and Lin­coln Younes have been nom­i­nated for Most Out­stand­ing Per­for­mance by an Ac­tor (Male), and Clarke, McCle­ments and Eva Laz­zaro are the fi­nal­ists for Most Out­stand­ing Per­for­mance by an Ac­tor (Fe­male).

There are still six more sub­scriber­voted cat­e­gory nom­i­na­tions to be an­nounced.
