Following the story of a ladies man caught up in an awkward love-triangle, Not Now, Darling opens at Tugun theatre tonight and stars Mark Fell, Peter Barrett, Gai Byrne, Rianna Hartney-Smith, Jayden Krebs, Bill Cox, Rebecca Littlewood, Elizabeth Seidl, Sue-Ellen McCubban, Geoff Davis and Jean Watson.

Rawlings says Not Now, Darling, which is set in a Mayfair fur salon in London in the 1970s, offers plenty of laughs.

‘‘It is quite fun and mad with subtle English humour. The way it’s written is witty and funny,’’ she says.

Tracking down fur for the salon proved a hard task.

‘‘It was certainly hard to source in Queensland but we were lucky to find some for $5 each from a second-hand fundraiser,’’ she says.

Not Now, Darling opens at Tugun Village Community Centre tonight and plays Thursdays to Saturdays until May 25, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday.
