Lowe look­ing pres­i­den­tial

AC­TORS Rob Lowe and Gin­nifer Good­win are set to play hus­band and wife af­ter sign­ing up to star in a new tele­vi­sion drama about for­mer US Pres­i­dent John F. Kennedy.

The for­mer star of The West Wing will play the as­sas­si­nated politi­cian, while Good­win will por­tray First Lady Jac­que­line Kennedy in up­com­ing TV movie Killing Kennedy.

Michelle Tracht­en­berg will round out the cast as Rus­sian-born Ma­rina Oswald, the wife of ac­cused killer Lee Harvey Oswald, who was shot and killed by night­club owner Jack Ruby be­fore he could face trial.

Pro­duc­tion on the pro­ject, based on author Bill O’Reilly’s best­selling novel of the same name, is set to be­gin in Rich­mond, Vir­ginia in June. It will air on the National Ge­o­graphic Chan­nel to co­in­cide with the 50th an­niver­sary of Kennedy’s death later this year, ac­cord­ing to The Hol­ly­wood Re­porter.

Ex­cited about the prospect of show­ing off her for­eign lan­guage skills in the role, Tracht­en­berg took to Twit­ter to share the news with fans, writ­ing, ‘‘Ex­cited to FI­NALLY an­nounce I’m star­ring with @RobLowe in @nat­geochan­nel movie KILLINGKENNEDY as Ma­rina Oswald, Lee Harvey Oswald’s wife! This will be my first role speak­ing en­tirely in Rus­sian.’’
