Sci-fi targets Australia
PAY TV’s SF has commissioned its first Australian-made feature length movie, which will be shot in remote South Australian locations. Production for the sci-fi film Arrowhead will start this month and screen in the second half of 2014. The approval for the feature film follows the success of a short movie titled Arrowhead: Signal, which gained critical praise from the American media tech website CNET. Arrowhead is a tale of survival set among the distant stars. The lead character Kye is a prisoner of war caught between two armies that he doesn’t believe in. When offered an opportunity for freedom, Kye sets out on one last rescue mission, only to become stranded on a deserted moon when his ship – the Arrowhead – crash lands. The movie has been written by Jesse O’Brien who will also direct the feature film.
