Harrison hits road
THE winner of The Voice, Harrison Craig, has included a Gold Coast show on his first national tour. The 18-year-old Victorian, who released his debut album, a collection of covers called More Than A Dream on Tuesday, will tour from September to November. In the meantime, Craig – who won $100,000, a recording contract and a car – will meet and greet fans and sing at shopping centres including Westfield Chermside, in Brisbane, tomorrow at 3pm. ‘‘To have the opportunity to travel all over the country and perform is every singer’s dream, so to be able to really put on a show for the people who voted for me and bought my songs, this is my way of saying a huge thank you for your support,’’ he says. Die-hard fans will also get the chance to attend a sound-check and intimate singing session with Craig before his shows in a ‘‘dream package’’ as part of the tour.
Harrison Craig plays the Concert Hall, at QPAC, in Brisbane, on September 27; Jupiter’s Hotel & Casino on September 28; and Star Court Theatre, Lismore, on November 19.
