SINGER and songwriter Kate Ceberano is Gold Coast-bound to appear as a headliner at the three-day Broadbeach Jazz Festival in August. Ceberano is one of about about 30 acts who will perform on a three-day bill – across two outdoor stages and in pubs, clubs and restaurants – as part of a roving street program. She appears fresh from a successful gig as artistic director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival to perform songs from her upcoming album Kensal Road, which features the first original songs she has released in about a decade. Broadbeach Alliance released the festival program on its website yesterday. Acts to perform include Aaron West, Andrea Marr & The Funky Hitmen, Ashley Lewis Quartet, Australian Army Big Band, Baby et Lulu, Big Kitty, Carmen Smith, Clayton Doley, Dave Plotel, Emma Hamilton, Garth Ploog and Gold Coast Youth Orchestra.
The Broadbeach Jazz Festival plays the Broadbeach precinct from August 16-18.
