Bey­once Knowles-Carter, 31, is ranked fourth on’s list of the world’s most pow­er­ful celebri­ties, earn­ing an es­ti­mated $US53 mil­lion ($A58.25 mil­lion). She is mar­ried to rap­per Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter. A Pepsi Next pro­mo­tion, of­fer­ing free tick­ets to Bey­once’s shows in Aus­tralia and New York, will give 25 lucky fans the chance to meet Bey­once in Syd­ney. Tick­ets go on sale to­mor­row at 10am. Baby An­i­mals, The Zoo, Bris­bane, Oc­to­ber 18-19: Baby An­i­mals will film shows on their next Aus­tralian tour for their first live DVD. The Feed the Birds live tour DVD will be re­leased be­fore Christ­mas. Fans who pre-or­der the DVD with a show ticket will have their name in­cluded in the clos­ing cred­its and re­ceive a signed copy a week be­fore the of­fi­cial re­lease date. The band is of­fer­ing 100 ma­jor pack­ages to the tour, which in­clude two tick­ets to a show, a signed shipped DVD, a per­sonal thank you in the DVD cred­its, the live dig­i­tal EP on Novem­ber 18, a limited edi­tion tour poster and in­stant down­load of the new stu­dio al­bum This Is Not The End. The Boomerang Fes­ti­val , Tya­garah Tea Tree Farm, Oc­to­ber 4-6: ARIA Award-win­ning Abo­rig­i­nal singer, song­writer and mu­si­cian Gur­ru­mul, backed by the 24-piece Queens­land Vir­tu­oso Sym­phony Orches­tra, head­lines the in­au­gu­ral Boomerang Fes­ti­val at the By­ron Bay Blues­fest’s home at Tya­garah. Sto­ry­teller Archie Roach, backed by Lou Ben­nett, Emma Dono­van and De­line Briscoe and a 10-piece en­sem­ble fea­tur­ing a string quar­tet, and ris­ing tal­ents Shel­lie Mor­ris, The Medics and Bris­bane singer Thelma Plum also per­form.
