Hugh Jackman returns for his sixth outing as the X-Men mutant in a story based on the 1982 comic arc by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller which sends Logan to modern Japan, where he dresses Samurai-style, fights Ninjas and struggles with the notion of mortality. They say: Jackman knows the character so well now he could sleepwalk through it, but somehow still invests new life into his character, Logan. (Report, Page 12.) Wesay: One all fanboys and fangirls have marked in their diaries. Nothing said here will convince them to miss it. The best parts of The Wolverine are when Jackman’s going hell for leather, fighting with gusto or throwing people out of windows without care. Running time 126 minutes. Australia Fair, Pacific Fair, Robina, Harbour Town, Coolangatta, Tweed City, Nerang, Yatala Drive In.
