PHOENIX En­sem­ble will host its last au­di­tion call for 2013 – for di­rec­tor Steve Pearton’s It’s A Won­der­ful Life – at its Beenleigh theatre on Au­gust 31 from 10am. Based on the 1946 film, the story is sim­ple but poignant – Ge­orge Bai­ley has spent his en­tire life giv­ing up his big dreams for the good of his home town, Bed­ford Falls, as we see in flash­back. GOLD Coast Lit­tle Theatre will host Drinks with the Di­rec­tor of The Glass Menagerie at its Southport theatre on Au­gust 27 from 6pm. Di­rec­tor Noella John­son will share de­tails of her up­com­ing sea­son of the play. GCLT will also un­veil the five shows it plans to stage next year.
