Mov­ing Pic­tures, Mask, Twin Towns: Af­ter re­unit­ing for a sold-out tour in 2011, the orig­i­nal Mov­ing Pic­tures line-up is back for a limited run of shows. Formed in 1980, the band com­bined pub-rock and RnB in­flu­ences, build­ing a strong rep­u­ta­tion for their live shows. The group per­ma­nently etched it­self into the Aus­tralian mu­sic land­scape with the re­lease of What About Me? and a string of Top 40 hits. Now based in Lon­don, where he works as a mu­sic ther­a­pist, front­man Alex Smith says noth­ing beats per­form­ing with Mov­ing Pic­tures. ‘‘Get­ting to­gether to re­hearse last time was a lot of fun.
