Time to go, Jas
BIG Brother’s three-times nominated housemate Mikkayla should start to see her fortunes rise according to the show’s latest evictee, Jasmin Aguilera.
Mikkayla, nominated for the first two evictions on the latest series of Channel 9 show, was on both occasions was saved from a public vote.
On Monday, she faced eviction but survived when Aguilera made her exit.
Aguilera received just 6 per cent of viewers’ votes, while Mikkayla collected 15 per cent.
Aguilera says most housemates keep their most annoying personality traits suppressed during the first few weeks of the reality show – except Mikkayla.
‘‘She’s an easy target because in the first week she was the only one who annoyed people in the house . . . she was a little bit bossy,’’ Aguilera says. ‘‘She has settled in and she doesn’t annoy people as much.
‘‘I think other people’s bad habits will start to overtake hers and she won’t be up each week.’’
Before entering the Big Brother house, Aguilera quit her job as a flight attendant with Virgin Australia.
Now she’s been evicted after four weeks in the house, the 24-year-old says she does not have a job and has no idea what she will do next. ‘‘I tried to get leave but couldn’t,’’ Aguilera says. ‘‘This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I would regret it more if I hadn’t done Big Brother than keep my job, so I resigned. I have no plans or ideas and I’m just going to have to wing it.’’
Aguilera says being in the Big Brother house, situated inside Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, was like being on holiday.
It took her just a few days to adjust to being shut off from family and friends and having to acquaint herself with a bunch of people she had never met.
She has no regrets about kissing Ed in the spa, which led to a breakdown in her friendship with Jade.
