THE Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra hosts Teddy Bears’ Picnic, a family-friendly event designed to help youngsters develop their love for music, on Sunday. Conductor Mark Turpin has created a program for all ages, with children learning a song to sing-along with the orchestra and choirs from Oxenford State School and Helensvale State School. Parents, grandparents and children are invited to sing and dance with the Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra and fall in love with the full orchestral experience. Kids can learn about the instruments and hear a story accompanied by music performed live by the orchestra. Children should bring their beloved teddies to join in the fun. The Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic concert plays Helensvale Cultural Centre and Auditorium on Sunday from 3pm to 4.30pm.
