Jazzy escape from V8 buzz

The Gold Coast Bulletin - Play Magazine - - LIVE ’N’ LOUD -

THE Cedar Creek Estate Winery will become the perfect escape from V8 chaos in Surfers Paradise with a jazz in the vineyards event for music lovers. On Sunday, the winery hosts special performances by Rockabilly Cowboy Ian MacLeod, Lesyah Mulvene and Fraser Goodman with his band. Goodman (pictured) is no stranger to the stage. Having honed his skills as a singer, songwriter and backing musician on the streets of Asia, New Zealand and Australia, he has entertained crowds with his smooth vocals. This year’s highlights included leading the respected Wiley Reed Tribute band at the Broadbeach Blues Festival and a busy season with tours and shows. The winery event invites lovers of music and wine to bring a blanket or chair and settle down for sets between 11am and 3pm. Barbecue and drinks are available. Tickets are $10 (adults), $5 (children), free (for under 10s). All proceeds will go to the Rural Fire Service, SES, Rural Ambulance and Community Care.

Ian MacLeod, Lesyah Mulvene and Fraser Goodman and band play Cedar Creek Estate Winery, North Tamborine, on Sunday.
