TINA LEAVES FRANCE TO MAKE A NA­TIONAL TOUR

AUS­TRALIAN pop singer Tina Arena is set to tour the coun­try in Au­gust and Septem­ber.

The singer, who first rose to fame in the tele­vi­sion se­ries in the 1970s, will kick off her na­tional tour in Perth on Au­gust 15.

Arena, who has spent most of the past decade in France, where she has sold more than four mil­lion records, per­formed at Syd­ney's Mardi Gras in Fe­bru­ary. Her song

which fea­tures on her al­bum, was the an­them for the Syd­ney Gay and Les­bian Mardi Gras. The singer re­leased her au­to­bi­og­ra­phy

last Oc­to­ber. Arena’s first orig­i­nal English lan­guage re­lease in 12 years, is out now.

Tick­ets for the na­tional tour go on sale on March 20.

Tina Arena plays Jupiters Theatre on Au­gust 23.
