BACK WITH A BOOM, NOT A WHIMPER
The members of Boom Crash Opera have been making music together for three decades, but the beloved quintet show no signs of slowing down
other things that have changed since the band toured in its prime.
“The touring scene has changed a lot since the mid-’90s. On tour now, you only play on weekends. Before then, rock bands played six nights a week,” he says.
“It was a solid scene in some regards. You see old farts on the road now and they say, ‘This isn’t as good as our day’. But bands are much better now. There’s an alive scene of music nuts.” Boom Crash Opera play Lonestar Tavern, Mermaid Waters, tomorrow night.
