Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor Hank Pym off a heist to save the world. AMY (MA) The Arts Centre Gold Coast
A superb documentary by Asif Kapadia ( Senna) about British singer-composer Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011 at 27. Kapadia has access to home movies, in addition to footage of concerts and recording sessions, and he uses voice-overs of interviews with people who knew her, a device that works well. This film demonstrates, again, the pack mentality of Britain’s paparazzi.
