Val Lehman was happy to be booted from I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! as it meant she no longer had to listen to Laurina Fleure

The Gold Coast Bulletin - Play Magazine - - TV -

Veteran actress Val Lehman has labelled Laurina Fleure a pain in the butt and says she won’t miss the reality TV star after spending five weeks in the South African jungle with her.

The former Prisoner actress was evicted from Network Ten’s I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! on Sunday and says she’s happy to see the back of Fleure.

Although the 72-year-old concedes the former The

Bachelor contestant did make her learn something about herself.

“I learnt I was more tolerant than I thought I was,” Lehman says.

“Who made me realise that? Laurina. She’s a pain in the butt.

“Laurina has two topics of conversation: one is her label and the other is herself,” Lehman says. “I won’t miss Laurina.” While in the jungle, the actress revealed candidly to Jo Beth Taylor that she worked harder than most of her cast mates on cult Australian drama Prisoner. On one day she appeared in 26 scenes as women’s prisoner Bea “Top Dog” Smith for the first five of the eight seasons of the series.

The actress said she had to price herself out of the show after having enough of the tough workload.

With this information now out in the open, Lehman says she’s fine with people knowing about it.

“I usually don’t say anything I don’t want heard anyway,” she says.

She says she believes some of the remaining contestants on the show forget they’re being watched and maybe reveal too much.

But the hardest part of the whole experience for Lehman on I’m A Celebrity was the food.

“The food is disgusting, that’s the thing I struggled with most,” she says.

The actress lost 10kg while filming the show.
